Insect Repellent essential oils are substances applied to skin, clothing, or other surfaces, which prevents insects from landing or climbing on that surface. Insect Repellent essential oils are designed to block mosquito’s sensory organs with heavy, bulky molecules. When its sensors are blocked with repellent a mosquito is fooled into looking elsewhere for its blood meal. Mosquito repellents do not repel mosquitoes instead; the repelling action is by a more subtle process that blocks sensory functions.

Patchouli, an insect Repellent essential oil has relaxant, aphrodisiac, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties. It can also be used anti-fungal treatment for athlete’s foot.

Neem oil contains insecticidal properties that are composed of a complex mixture of biologically active compounds. It has an unpleasant strong, slightly garlic-like odor. Its various active ingredients act as repellents.
